Choosing a villa in Bali starts with the area, not with the photos. Canggu with neighbouring Berawa and Pererenan is surfing, cafés and remote work. Seminyak sits closer to restaurants and nightlife. Ubud lies in the centre of the island: rice terraces, cooler and quieter. Uluwatu and the Bukit peninsula are about the ocean, cliffs and sunsets. Kedungu and Sanur are chosen for calm.
